  The police in Adamawa state have arrested a thirty-five-year-old man identified as Ishaya    The deceased, Franchise Albert and his 20-year-old wife, Libiyatu, had been having family issues since 2022 after she began having an extramarital affair with the suspect. e deceased was said to have warned both his wife and the suspect who resides at Luggure Gajere in Fufore LGA, but they refused to heed his warning. "My husband had warned us when he got wind of what we were doing. My husband and I fought over the issue as a result of which I left for my parents' house. Ishaya followed me and took me into the bush and had an affair after the warning. He slept with me 5 times". She Was Found Inside A Shallow Graver In South Africaa, Friends Mourns Lady Allegedly Killed ( Photos)

 Friends and family on Sunday, March 13, bid farewell to a 23-year-old woman, Kgomotso Karen Maropola, whose badly decomposed body was found buried in a shallow grave in Limpopo, South Africa. 

 

Maropola, who was reported missing after she did not return home on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Phagameng location, was found brutally murdered on Wednesday. She was working as an assistant teacher at Nylstroom Hoerskool.

When the victim was reported missing, the police commenced with a search operation, assisted by members of the community.

 

The search operation was intensified involving the Search and Rescue Unit, the K9, the local Police and community members.

 

The body of the deceased was later found buried in a shallow grave next to the railway line at Phagameng township, Modimolle.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Major General Jan Scheepers has called on community members to assist the Police in the investigations by providing valuable information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.

 

"As we continue to fight the scourge of Gender Based Violence in all fronts, incidents of this nature call for collaborative efforts to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book as speedily as possible,” said Major General Scheepers.

Akanbi of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has sentenced one Mohammed Kazeem Beiwa to death for the horrific murder of his next-door neighbour, Olokose Ojo Olushola in Ilorin a few days before his wedding.    Late Ojo, a staff at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) unit of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, was kidnapped and murdered by Mohammed and his gang for ritual purposes in 2021.    The court also handed down 10 years imprisonment and a N100,000 fine each to his two other accomplices; Madu Jeremiah and Mohammed Chatta while the fourth defendant, Jimoh Abdulateef was set free by the Court for lack of diligent prosecution.   The four accused persons were facing prosecution before the court on eight count charges having been accused of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, culpable homicide, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal removal of human parts.   The prosecution led by the former Attorney Genera...
