  The police in Adamawa state have arrested a thirty-five-year-old man identified as Ishaya    The deceased, Franchise Albert and his 20-year-old wife, Libiyatu, had been having family issues since 2022 after she began having an extramarital affair with the suspect. e deceased was said to have warned both his wife and the suspect who resides at Luggure Gajere in Fufore LGA, but they refused to heed his warning. "My husband had warned us when he got wind of what we were doing. My husband and I fought over the issue as a result of which I left for my parents' house. Ishaya followed me and took me into the bush and had an affair after the warning. He slept with me 5 times". Libiyatu told the police after she was arrested   The culprit was said to have kept committing adultery with the victim's wife while assuring her that her husband would not get to know what they were doing.   "We later resolved our family issues with my husband and asked me to return to my matrim

 Youths of Umuevu Okrikanweke in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State have burnt down the house of their in-law, Mr. Amadikwa Aririguzo. 

 

It was gathered that Mr Aririguzo, of Umuonuegbu Chiala Okpunkume Mpam also in Ahaizu Mbaise LGA, allegedly beat his wife, Chisara, to death.


 

A member of the community, Damian Chizuruoke, who confirmed the incident on Saturday, July 23, said the mother of five from Lomuma Umuevu Okrikanweke, died from injuries a day after she was allegedly battered by her husband at their rented residence in Apkim Okrikanweke.

 

According to reports, Amadikwa hurriedly ran back to their house in Okpunkume after the beating on seeing the condition of his wife.

 

The report also had it that the deceased mother of 5 children sent the 2nd daughter, Chinonso to her maiden home, Umuevu to inform her kinsmen when she felt her condition had deteriorated badly but the daughter returned only to meet the lifeless body.


 

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at Madona Hospital Mortuary Aguneze, Ahiazu Mbaise LGA while manhunt is on for the suspect by the in-laws.
