  The police in Adamawa state have arrested a thirty-five-year-old man identified as Ishaya    The deceased, Franchise Albert and his 20-year-old wife, Libiyatu, had been having family issues since 2022 after she began having an extramarital affair with the suspect. e deceased was said to have warned both his wife and the suspect who resides at Luggure Gajere in Fufore LGA, but they refused to heed his warning. "My husband had warned us when he got wind of what we were doing. My husband and I fought over the issue as a result of which I left for my parents' house. Ishaya followed me and took me into the bush and had an affair after the warning. He slept with me 5 times". Police Rescues 10 Women And A Child In Zamfara ( Photos)

 


10 women and a year-old child have been rescued by police officers attached to Zamfara police command following an extensive successful search and rescue operations at Gando forest in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of the state.

 

Police Public Relations Officer in Zamfara State, SP Mohammed Shehu said the victims were rescued after bandits iinvaded Manye village in Anka LGA on Monday 17th October, 2022. 


 

The victims spent three days in captivity before being rescued by police officers deployed by the Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf.

 

The operation was successfully accomplished with the full support of stakeholders especially, the Sole Administrator of Anka LGA.

 

The rescued victims were taken to the hospital for medical check, debriefed by police detectives and handed over their families.


 

Zamfara police spokesperson commended the sole Administrator, Anka LGA for the full support and partnership during the rescue operation.

 

The Commissioner of Police also said that all the perpetrators will be apprehended and charged to court for prosecution.

Gang Arrested For Kidnapping, Killing Man Days To His Wedding

Akanbi of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has sentenced one Mohammed Kazeem Beiwa to death for the horrific murder of his next-door neighbour, Olokose Ojo Olushola in Ilorin a few days before his wedding.    Late Ojo, a staff at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) unit of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, was kidnapped and murdered by Mohammed and his gang for ritual purposes in 2021.    The court also handed down 10 years imprisonment and a N100,000 fine each to his two other accomplices; Madu Jeremiah and Mohammed Chatta while the fourth defendant, Jimoh Abdulateef was set free by the Court for lack of diligent prosecution.   The four accused persons were facing prosecution before the court on eight count charges having been accused of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, culpable homicide, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal removal of human parts.   The prosecution led by the former Attorney Genera...
