  The police in Adamawa state have arrested a thirty-five-year-old man identified as Ishaya    The deceased, Franchise Albert and his 20-year-old wife, Libiyatu, had been having family issues since 2022 after she began having an extramarital affair with the suspect. e deceased was said to have warned both his wife and the suspect who resides at Luggure Gajere in Fufore LGA, but they refused to heed his warning. "My husband had warned us when he got wind of what we were doing. My husband and I fought over the issue as a result of which I left for my parents' house. Ishaya followed me and took me into the bush and had an affair after the warning. He slept with me 5 times". Man Dies Hours After His Wedd

 



A family friend, Shamsudeen Buratai, who confirmed the sad news said Lili died after a sudden illness.


 

According to Buratai, the groom's wedding took place around 5 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022 in Kofar Atiku area of the state and he passed away on Monday morning.


 

"Shehu is my childhood friend and a family friend for over 3 decades. He had acute malaria which would strike him every harmattan. So like any other year, the illness struck this year, around September, to which he took medications and regained his health," he said. 

 

"Just this morning, around 9 am, Shehu came out and met us where we exchanged normal pleasantries. All of a sudden he began to feel something strange and said to us that he suspected it was his malaria that wanted to come back. Next thing he slumped and that was it”, Shamsu said.

The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites.

Gang Arrested For Kidnapping, Killing Man Days To His Wedding

Akanbi of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has sentenced one Mohammed Kazeem Beiwa to death for the horrific murder of his next-door neighbour, Olokose Ojo Olushola in Ilorin a few days before his wedding.    Late Ojo, a staff at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) unit of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, was kidnapped and murdered by Mohammed and his gang for ritual purposes in 2021.    The court also handed down 10 years imprisonment and a N100,000 fine each to his two other accomplices; Madu Jeremiah and Mohammed Chatta while the fourth defendant, Jimoh Abdulateef was set free by the Court for lack of diligent prosecution.   The four accused persons were facing prosecution before the court on eight count charges having been accused of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, culpable homicide, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal removal of human parts.   The prosecution led by the former Attorney Genera...
