  The police in Adamawa state have arrested a thirty-five-year-old man identified as Ishaya    The deceased, Franchise Albert and his 20-year-old wife, Libiyatu, had been having family issues since 2022 after she began having an extramarital affair with the suspect. e deceased was said to have warned both his wife and the suspect who resides at Luggure Gajere in Fufore LGA, but they refused to heed his warning. "My husband had warned us when he got wind of what we were doing. My husband and I fought over the issue as a result of which I left for my parents' house. Ishaya followed me and took me into the bush and had an affair after the warning. He slept with me 5 times". Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted after social media speculation that he wanted to leave Portugal's World Cup camp, insisting the squad are 'too strong to be broken by outside forces'.

 

The former Man. United striker irked his manager Fernando Santos after he appeared unhappy in their 2-1 loss to South Korea. And when he was dropped by his coach for their last-16 clash against Switzerland - which they won 6-1, he was said to have threatened to fly home.


 

But Portugal later hit out at the rumours, saying Ronaldo 'builds up a unique track record every day at the service of the national team and the country, which must be respected and which attests to the unquestionable degree of commitment to the national team.' 

 

The 37-year-old has broken his silence since the reports emerged, insisting Portugal were too 'close' and 'brave' to be affected by outside noise. 


 

In a tweet, the forward wrote: 'A group too close to be broken by outside forces. A nation too brave to let itself be frightened by any adversary. 


 

'A team in the truest sense of the word, which will fight for the dream until the end! Believe with us! Strength, Portugal!'

Gang Arrested For Kidnapping, Killing Man Days To His Wedding

Akanbi of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has sentenced one Mohammed Kazeem Beiwa to death for the horrific murder of his next-door neighbour, Olokose Ojo Olushola in Ilorin a few days before his wedding.    Late Ojo, a staff at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) unit of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, was kidnapped and murdered by Mohammed and his gang for ritual purposes in 2021.    The court also handed down 10 years imprisonment and a N100,000 fine each to his two other accomplices; Madu Jeremiah and Mohammed Chatta while the fourth defendant, Jimoh Abdulateef was set free by the Court for lack of diligent prosecution.   The four accused persons were facing prosecution before the court on eight count charges having been accused of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, culpable homicide, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal removal of human parts.   The prosecution led by the former Attorney Genera...
